The success of our grant-making process relies on our ability to accurately identify and respond to critical unmet and emerging needs in our Jewish community at home and around the world. With an eye toward the future, the Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Foundation work closely with our many community stakeholders to build consensus and define and develop long-term funding priorities where we can make the greatest impact.
In 2010, we began a large-scale demographic study of the East Bay to better understand our area’s unique population and recognize its diversity. We continue to collect and analyze the information gathered, the next step in a comprehensive, targeted strategic planning process to address funding priorities, community granting, fundraising and other concerns that will shape a distinct direction and vision for our community’s future.
