Special Lion of Judah Events

Special events are planned each year to honor and thank those women in the East Bay who give at the Lion of Judah level. This year we heard from Sue Fishkoff, correspondent with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), who shared the realities of reporting news from Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East.

In addition, every year there is a Lion of Judah Conference, usually in Washington D.C., where Lions from all Federations congregate to hear important speakers, exchange ideas, meet like-minded women and generally have fun! Last’s year conference highlighted former president Bill Clinton and included: Lynn Sherr, NBC News; Charles Krauthammer, Washington Post columnist; and Madeline Albright, former Secretary of State, among other notables. Past speakers have included: Laura Bush, Teresa Heinz Kerry and Senator Hillary Clinton and others of national rank and importance.
