Lion of Judah
Life is rich; pass it on

The Lion of Judah was established in Miami in 1972 to recognize a new level of commitment by dedicated woman donors. Founders, Norma Kipnis-Wilson and Toby Freidland, understood that to shape the future they envisioned, they would have to contribute accordingly. At that time, only 16 women qualified for this level of giving; personally pledging $5,000 or more to the annual women's campaign.

Today, over 15,000 women throughout through out the globe, proudly wear their Lion of Judah pins to declare their commitment to the preservation and growth of the worldwide Jewish community.

The Lion of Judah pin is a symbol of sisterhood and connectedness, of leadership and power. It provides a benchmark for women to continue to advance into new spheres of giving as they achieve greater economic success. And, it allows women to take active roles in securing their Jewish future, forging new opportunities for creative philanthropic giving.
